Do you have virus-related computer problems?

Today, March 8th, the Gustavus Technology Helpline will be running its GAC Squad from 2:30pm-9:00pm in the Olin Computer Lab.

During this time, the Technology Helpline will be helping students register their computers on the wired and wireless networks and helping students with virus-related computer problems. This service does not require an appointment, however we ask that students remain in Olin while the Technology Helpline is working on their computer.

Bring your laptops! Bring your homework!

The vulnerability could potentially allow malicious code to be executed on a users computer, just by visiting an infected web site with Internet Explorer. For more details, please see ZDNet or Microsoft sites.

Gustavus users will be prompted to install the updates from the Updates Notification icon in the Task Menu (yellow shield in lower right hand corner). Users can also apply updates by visiting Microsoft Updates (must be done using Internet Explorer). Please apply all requested/critical updates. Mulitple reboots maybe required.Windows Update Notification
