Gustavus Adolphus College is seeking a User Services Coordinator who will assist the campus in the support, configuration, and implementation of computing resources as they relate to instruction and learning. As one of four key persons responsible for developing and implementing a vision and mission for campus technologies, the main duties of the User Services Coordinator will be to assist in the planning and implementation of strategies for the continued utilization and support of the Macintosh Operating System and the Campus Technology Helpline. This position will also serve as the primary campus technology liaison for a Digital Arts Lab and Digital Music lab.

Candidates should have proven experience in providing Macintosh and other PC systems support and outstanding customer service skills. Experience with Macintosh server administration, image creation and deployment, HTML, Multimedia authoring systems, database management software, familiarity with digital manipulation software (Adobe suite), Apple Remote Desktop and Finale is also desirable. B.A. is preferred.

Applicants must be able to learn quickly in a dynamic environment, work independently with little or no supervision, and show initiative in seeking and completing tasks. Summer student employees provide technical assistance for summer projects involving the public computer labs, the academic departments, and the Technology Services Support area. Compensation starts at $8.78 with increases based on years of service. The terms of employment Monday – Friday from 8 am until 4:45 pm, 40 hours per week for 12 of the 14 weeks from May 30th – September 1st.
