Classes in Google Calendar Posted on February 10th, 2009 by

This semester, GTS, will not be pre-populating students’ classes into their Gustavus Google Calendar. Students will need to add their classes manually.

Please stop by the Technology Helpline if you need help adding the classes manually to your calendar.

  1. Amanda Nienow says:

I found that the pre-population of student classes to be the most useful part of using Google calender (beyond personal use). Why was this decision made and will it be changed back in the future?

  2. Jake Seamans says:

I much agree with the statement above. Is there any way that classes can be repopulated again?

  3. Nick Sonsteby says:

Due to privacy concerns (FERPA), we are unable to populate classes for students automatically in Google Calendar. However, we are able to populate classes for faculty automatically in Google Calendar.

If you have questions or concerns, please e-mail or call Bruce Aarsvold, Director of GTS.
