Put Everything in the Database Posted on March 1st, 2006 by

We have been working hard at trying to capture a more authentic picture of the calls that come into the Helpline. We have been asking our employees to put EVERYTHING in the database.

The success of this effort has helped give us a more accurate picture of the Helpline and the types of calls they take on a daily basis.

Last week 154 new cases were entered in the database.

36% Faculty
29% Staff or Administrator
21% Student
10% Lab (request for something in a computer lab)
4% Other

Of those cases entered 139 (90%) are now resolved.

Congratulations to those students who have put the most legitimate cases in the database:
Josh Nissen, Darin Mays, Tim Fontanta and Steve Magee. They have been rewarded with a 128 Mb Flash Drive. Keep up the great work!

Interesting statistics. The 90% resolve rate is very good, IMHO. Good job Helpers!
