Adobe Acrobat and Flash updates

The newest security updates for Adobe Acrobat and Flash will begin deploying to all Windows machines tonight. These fixes will patch security holes in Adobe Acrobat and Flash. If you have any questions, please contact the Technology Helpline x6111.

Gustavus E-mail Being Blocked

Currently, certain businesses and email hosting sites (like corpgraph.com and mnsu.edu) are blocking emails sent from Gustavus e-mail addresses. Messages sent from WebMail (http://webmail.gac.edu) will NOT be blocked. We are working on a solution to this problem.  However, due to its nature, resolution may take 12 – 24 hours. The Windows Print Servers are scheduled for an upgrade on Saturday, February 19th from 1:30am-5:30am.  During this time students will be unable to print to the public printers available in the reshall labs and other public labs.  This upgrade will improve the overall reliability and performance of the print servers. Printing to lab printers from your machine

Students can easily setup their personal laptop or desktop to print to any public lab printer.  This includes the printer in their residence hall and the printers in the library. Internet Connection Maintenance Scheduled for February 3rd

Internet Connection Disruption – January 14th

We have received word from one of our Internet providers that we will have a service disruption on January 14th between 12:00am – 2:00am.  This maintenance is expected to cause a 15 minute outage during the 2 hour maintenance window.
